Maria Flora

Maria Flora: Italian fabrics rich in history, quality, elegance and style, for outdoor living and sunny indoor spaces.

A spirited array of fabrics, named after two extraordinary women who gave the founder and designer, Filippo Ucher the wisdom, courage and inspiration to create this collection.

Based on the believe that a fabric is born from what you have inside, Maria Flora is the result of experiences, family traditions, recollections of a loving past and significant family bonds. Mariaflora's fabrics are made in Biella, Italy, an area rich in the tradition of making fine textiles. Framed by high mountain pastures and an abundant supply of fresh water, exquisite fabrics have been produced in this area since the 11th Century. To honour this tradition, the home of Mariaflora is here, in an early nineteenth century building in an old weaving village.

Smart and refined fabrics for outdoor and indoor use, perfect for hotels and homes in bustling cities and quiet towns; for pool sides, backyards, boats... and indoors in rooms where the rays of the sun, hands of young children or the family dog, call for something beautiful, strong, lasting. Fabrics full of verve, that speak to the heart and history of artisanal Italian weaving, amazingly soft to the touch and milled to hold up to the rigors of outdoor use and modern living.

Founded in 2007 by Filippo Uecher, Mariaflora produces 100 percent solution-dyed acrylic yarns in Biella, Italy, where textiles have been milled since the 11th century.
